Cabo San Lucas is the party capital of the Baja Peninsula. Bachelorette crews, bachelor parties, birthday groups and spring breakers all end up on the same walkable downtown strip — loud, neon and ridiculously fun. We run host-led pass nights through these doors every single evening, so here's the honest version of how to do it right, whether you book with us or wing it.

Downtown vs. the Marina
The Marina is where you start — laid-back sunset cocktails, yachts, and open-air restaurants. The Downtown party strip (around Blvd. Lázaro Cárdenas and Paseo de la Marina) is the beating heart of the night. The best doors are practically neighbors — El Squid Roe, Crush Nightspot, The Nowhere Bar, Señor Frogs, Saloon — so you can bar-hop on foot without a taxi.
The perfect night out: a timeline
12–5pm — beach warm-up. Spend the afternoon on Médano Beach — Mango Deck, our own day club, is the classic pick for buckets, games and sun. 6–9pm — dinner and meet-up. Eat downtown, then gather your group. Pass nights meet the host at the entrance of El Squid Roe around 9:30 pm. 9pm–2am — the main event. Doors fill, welcome shots go around, and the strip doesn't stop. Peak energy is 11pm–1:30am, and the biggest nights end at El Squid Roe.

The best nights of the week to go out in Cabo
Cabo is a seven-nights-a-week town, but the energy shifts. Friday and Saturday are the biggest — the fullest dance floors, the longest walk-in lines, and the nights skip-the-line entry pays for itself fastest. Thursday and Sunday bring a strong crowd with an easier door. Midweek (Monday–Wednesday) is calmer and more relaxed — more room to move, faster bars. During spring break and major holidays, though, every night of the week plays like a Saturday — reserve early.
The best clubs & bars in Cabo San Lucas
Almost all of Cabo's nightlife packs into a few walkable downtown blocks, so you can hit the biggest names in a single night. These are the doors worth knowing — most of them stops on our host-led routes, starting with the one we own.
★ El Squid Roe
The legend — and our home base. Three open-air floors of madness in the heart of downtown since 1989: table dancing, liter cocktails, sparklers, and a guest list that has included Beyoncé, Drake and Rihanna. Every Cabo Party Pass night meets at its entrance and ends with the finale inside.
Crush Nightspot
Top-40, hip-hop and reggaeton right on the main drag — a reliably packed dance floor and one of the strongest stops on the crawl.
Señor Frogs
The famous marina-side party bar — games, shots and zero pretension. A perfect early stop before the clubs peak.
The Nowhere Bar
The marina-boardwalk dance bar — strong drinks, a DJ that gets the floor moving early, and a crowd that spills onto the walkway. A regular stop on the crawl routes.
Saloon
A rowdy western-styled bar downtown — cheap-and-cheerful energy, big groups welcome, and easy fun between club stops.
Balam
A sleeker late-night club with a more polished crowd — where the route goes when your group wants proper club energy.
24K
Gold-toned, late and loud — a compact club that hits hardest after midnight.
Cabo Wabo Cantina
Sammy Hagar's live-music institution — tequila and bands most nights. Not on our route, but classic strip color if your crew loves rock.
Mango Deck
Our own day club on Médano Beach — buckets, contests and sun. Not a night spot: it's the classic day-after recovery move while the stories from the night before get retold.
First time in Cabo? You can absolutely walk the strip and wing it. But if you want the best of these doors in one night — no lines, one host, finale guaranteed — that's exactly what the pass is for.
Bottle service in Cabo — and what we sell instead
Most big clubs in Cabo sell bottle service — a reserved table, premium bottles and mixers, sparklers on the way in — and on a busy night it runs a few hundred dollars before tip. It can be a blast, but to be clear: Cabo Party Pass doesn't sell bottle service or VIP tables. We sell four per-person passes built around open bar house drinks and express entry — from $64 total, reserved with a deposit from $13/person and the balance due at check-in. If your group wants a table, order it directly from the club that night; if you'd rather have the drinks handled from the first pour, that's exactly what our open-bar passes are for. How much does a night out in Cabo cost?
Your budget depends on how you run the night. Doing it solo, expect covers at some doors on busy nights, $8–15 per drink, tips, taxis, late-night tacos — and a chunk of your night spent in walk-in lines. The one-move version is a Cabo Party Pass: The Downtown Cabo Bar Crawl and the Bachelor •ette Party are $64/person (5 top bars, welcome shots, VIP host, a 1-hour open bar at El Squid Roe), 2hrs of Open Bar Downtown is $64 (two hours of unlimited house drinks at El Squid Roe, Crush, Saloon or Balam), and Best Clubs in Cabo is $114 (3 top clubs, VIP host, open bar at every one). You reserve for $13 or $24 per person and pay the balance at check-in. Transportation, premium drinks and gratuity aren't included — gratuity is appreciated, never required, never auto-added.
What to wear: the Cabo dress code
Cabo is casual — this isn't Vegas. On the strip, tank tops, shorts, sneakers, jerseys and hats are welcome almost everywhere; bring comfy shoes you can dance in. A couple of clubs lean a notch dressier late at night, so if you're hopping doors on your own, skip the flip-flops and beachwear.
Insider safety & transport tips
Cabo is safe for tourists who use common sense. Uber works but can be restricted near some resorts — official taxis are everywhere (agree on the fare first). Carry some cash in USD or MXN for tips, street tacos and taxis. Gratuity is appreciated, never required, and never auto-added on a pass. Keep an eye on your group and your drink, and you'll have the night of the trip.
Getting around downtown Cabo at night
The beauty of Cabo nightlife is that the best doors sit within a few walkable blocks downtown, so once you're on the strip you rarely need a ride. Coming from the resort corridor, the Marina or San José del Cabo, plan transport in advance — official taxis are everywhere (agree on the fare before you get in), and Uber works but can be limited near some hotels. For door-to-door details and the easiest way to reach the meeting point at El Squid Roe, see our getting-here guide. Heading home, grab a taxi from the main strip where they queue up, and keep a little cash on hand — transportation isn't included with any pass, so plan the ride both ways.

Spring break & big event weeks in Cabo
Cabo is one of the marquee spring break destinations in Mexico, and downtown goes full throttle from late February through April. If you're coming for spring break, book your pass and your hotel early — these are the busiest, highest-energy weeks of the year, walk-in lines get very long, and nightly pass capacity sells out. The same goes for holiday peaks like New Year's, Cinco de Mayo and Halloween.
Where to start your night
Every pass night starts at the entrance of El Squid Roe (Blvd. Lázaro Cárdenas 1112) — the downtown landmark we own, going strong since 1989. It's the easiest meeting point in town, and it's also where the night circles back for the finale. Going pass-free? It's still the anchor the whole strip orbits.

Where Cabo Party Pass fits in
We're not a reseller with a lanyard — Cabo Party Pass is run by the Cabo Hospitality family, and we own El Squid Roe, the venue the whole strip orbits. That's why every night meets at its entrance, why the finale is guaranteed, and why our hosts walk you through doors other operators wait outside of. The pass isn't the only way to do Cabo nightlife — but it's the only one where the people selling the access actually own it.

Is Cabo San Lucas safe for nightlife?+
Yes — the downtown party strip and Marina are heavily touristed and generally safe. Stick to the main areas, use official taxis or Uber, keep an eye on your drink, and carry a little cash. On a pass, a host stays with your group all night, which takes most of the guesswork out of it.
What time does nightlife start in Cabo?+
Dinner and pre-game run 6–9pm, the strip fills after 10pm, and energy peaks 11pm–1:30am. Pass nights run roughly 9:30 pm to 2 am, meeting at the El Squid Roe entrance at the start.
What is the drinking age in Cabo, Mexico?+
The legal drinking age across all of Mexico, including Cabo San Lucas, is 18. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID or passport — doors check, and all Cabo Party Pass nights are 18+.
Do I need to dress up for clubs in Cabo?+
Mostly no — Cabo nightlife is casual, so shorts, tank tops, sneakers, jerseys and hats are welcome at most doors. Bring comfy shoes you can dance in. A couple of clubs lean dressier late, so skip flip-flops and beachwear if you're hopping on your own.
Do I need a reservation to get into clubs in Cabo?+

What is the best night of the week for Cabo nightlife?+
Friday and Saturday are the biggest and busiest, with Thursday and Sunday close behind. Midweek is more relaxed with easier doors. During spring break and major holidays, every night plays like a weekend.
How does a Cabo bar crawl with a host work?+
Your host meets your group at the entrance of El Squid Roe around 9:30 pm, confirms the night's route, and walks you past the line at every stop — welcome shots or open bars depending on your pass — before landing the finale at El Squid Roe. One person handles the whole night so nobody in your group has to.
Is a party pass worth it?+
If it's a big-deal night — bachelorette, bachelor, birthday, spring break — yes: you trade line time and door guesswork for one host and guaranteed entry, starting at $64/person. If you're a solo traveler happy to wander midweek, wing it and enjoy the strip — this guide works either way.
